5 Common diet signs that are ruining your progress
5 habits that hinders weight
loss process
Weight control is all about making
small changes that you can live with forever. As you incorporate these minor
sustainable adjustments in your lifestyle, you’ll begin to see how they can add
up to a big calorie saving and ultimately Weight Loss. But due to our daily
hectic schedules we tend to make few mistakes which hinders our dream of weight
loss to turn into reality.
Here are the top 5 habits that
prevent you to lose weight. Change them to see the CHANGE!!!
1. Skipping
Breakfast: We all know the deal: Breakfast
is the most important meal of the day! Still, many of us skip it thinking it
will help us shed pounds. In fact, this bad habit actually packs on the
calories. This not only slows down the metabolism but also slows down the
process of weight loss. Skipping breakfast makes you irritable, low in energy
and lethargic. Changing this habit, will do wonders to your body and energy
levels.
2. Staying up late: Nothing seems to melt away the aches
and pains of a tough day like a bag of chips or a bowl of ice cream on the
couch at night watching your favorite show. The problem is, that food which
makes you feel oh-so-good at night may actually be the reason you aren’t seeing
any progress with your weight loss regime. Foods that are consumed late at
night actually add up to your total calories as you are relaxed and there is no
physical activity to burn those extra calories. So want to stay up late at
night? THINK AGAIN!!
3. Skipping Meals: Does skipping meals means
skipping calories??? NOWAY!! In fact, it will make you feel starved and you
will end up eating more in your following meal. Avoid skipping any meals and
refrain from eating too much at one time. Instead eat in small proportions and
spread your 3 large meals into 4-6 small meals. This way, you boost your
metabolism and shed those nasty pounds. Skip Ropes not meals!!
4. You have nothing to do: May be you’ve run out of
shows or things to clean and suddenly you’re fiddling around the kitchen and
fridge for something to occupy your time. Most of us think they’re bored and
that’s why they’re eating too much. Stop!! You are eating out of boredom. When
we’re looking for an activity, Eating becomes the easiest thing to do. Drink a
glass of water or eat a fruit, you are probably eating because you are bored
and not actually hungry.
5. Going to happy hours: Alcohol
has a domino effect. Consumption of alcohol increases your appetite and causes
dehydration. This leads to intake of extra calories and makes you feel bloated.
Dehydration
is often confused as hunger. Drinking enough water will not only promote weight
loss but it also eliminates the excess toxins from our body. Hence drinking is
good, if its water!!
